Founded in 2018 by Amsterdam-based members of De Jonge Akademie, AYA brings together talented researchers whose work transcends disciplinary boundaries. The network fosters interdisciplinary collaboration, social dialogue, and contributes to shaping research policy.
This year’s selection stood out for a remarkable focus: many of the new members are deeply committed to creating impact and reflecting on the role of universities and science in society. Beyond their research excellence, they bring a strong sense of responsibility and a clear vision of what still needs to be done-how academia can be inclusive, resilient, and engaged in a world where its position is increasingly questioned.
