SBE students tackle global issues with the Bertelsmann Foundation

- EN - NL
On 3 October, Washington-based think tank the  Bertelsmann Foundation visited us here in Maastricht, spending the day working together with our Emerging Markets students. Students had the opportunity to participate in a case challenge provided by the Foundation and were invited to a film screening focused on leadership in crises. Through these various activities, students could apply their knowledge to real world problems and had the opportunity to learn more about how policy can shape the future. Creative Problem-Solving in Emerging Markets. On the day of the event, the Bertelsmann was represented by Anthony Silberfeld, the Director of Transatlantic Relations at Bertelsmann. Anthony spent the afternoon working with our third-year bachelor students in the Emerging Markets as part of their course "Creative Problem-Solving in Emerging Markets". This course is run by SBE academics Barbara Belfi and Raymond Montizaan. At the end of the day, students presented their solutions to various challenging global problems in a poster session.
