Thijs Bol - UvA sociologist Thijs Bol is going to map the shortand long-term effects of homeschooling during the coronacrisis on social inequality in educational outcomes. This project is co-financed by ODISSEI in the extra LISS Corona call for proposals in March 2020. ODISSEI (Open Data Infrastructure for Social Science and Economic Innovations) works to develop a sustainable research infrastructure for the social sciences in the Netherlands. ODISSEI launched an additional call for free data collection in the LISS panel, specifically focused on corona related questions. The LISS panel consists of about 7,000 people from about 4,500 households and is a representative reflection of the CBS population register. Thijs Bol is associate professor Sociology at the University of Amsterdam. He will research the effects of distance education on social inequality and educational outcomes.
