Wednesday 8 March marked the moment... the launch of the new website for Continuing Education: professionals.uu.nl/en. All the changes give our professionals a fresh and user-friendly website. It also forms a nice basis for future features.
What has changed for you?
- Completely new look and feel
- Multiple ways to access the offer, via the menu, yellow search bar or by interest area. We offer targeted and global search.
- New is the central search function, in which a website visitor can search very specifically for a keyword. It has a live search with suggestions: as soon as you start typing, results matching the keyword are immediately displayed. Search function is set up just like Google and works super fast!
- On the homepage, all areas of interest are visible so the website visitor gets an idea of what’s on offer
- There is a block on the homepage highlighting 6 courses, we can also place labels on this such as STAP budget.
- Drop-down menu in the courses menu which also allows you to go directly to the area of interest of your choice or to the full course offering.
- 2 additional filters have been included in the filter function: starting month, type of education. The display of results has changed completely. Besides the title and a short course explanation, an icon block has been added that summarises the course at a glance (cost, duration, start date, etc.).
- On the page with details about a course, the text is now split into several tabs. This way, it is clear to the website visitor which information can be found on which tab, without having to scroll through endless text.
We have now overcome the biggest challenges and bumps, but there is still plenty to do. In the second phase of the further development, we are, among other things, researching the entire customer journey, looking at the positioning of the free offer and the in-company offer and further developing the integration with the OO API.
