Weathercode orange: storm Ciarán

The Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI) has issued a code orange warning for the coastal areas and the provinces of South and North Holland from 11:00 am on Thursday, November 2, due to the expected storm Ciarán.

Read below for the measures that will be taken for planned educational activities and exams on the campus.

Education

Education on the campus will proceed unless otherwise indicated by the instructor in Canvas (course information). Instructors are requested to, where possible, convert planned campus educational activities into online or hybrid formats. If this is not possible, a suitable alternative will be sought for students who cannot attend.

Exams

Exams scheduled on the campus will proceed.

Work and Research:

All buildings will remain open. Research and work activities on the campus can continue.

If it is appropriate for students or employees to come to the campus, we advise leaving on time and keeping an eye on the latest updates on Canvas and VU.nl.
