Marcel Snippe appointed professor of Economics of Taxation
The University of Amsterdam has appointed Marcel Snippe professor of Economics of Taxation at the UvA's Amsterdam School of Economics (ASE). Snippe's appointment will commence on 1 April 2022. The newly appointed professor will join ASE's Economics of Taxation section (Fiscale Economie). In his research and teaching, he will focus on what he calls 'seamless taxation'. This refers to the possibilities of integrating (the levying of) taxes more and more into daily life and business activities. The subject matter includes the new 'alpha generation, the successors of generation X. This group has its own view of society and responsibilities. Sustainability plays an important role in their lives.
