European conference on Lifelong Learning, hosted by UU, was a great success

How do we jointly uncover the need for expertise and continuing education among professionals? How can we meet that need through University Continuing Education? What connections should we need to develop or strengthen? And how do we organise that as a university?. Two weeks ago, 170 visitors from across Europe gathered at the University Hall to find answers together to questions like these. During the 3-day European University Continuing Education Network (EUCEN) conference, participants delved deeper into various issues through 5 interesting keynote speakers and 5 parallel workshop rounds with a total of 46 presentations. Several participants said they enjoyed the level of expertise, the networking opportunities, the atmosphere, the delicious food and the nice social programme, which allowed them to get to know Utrecht better. I think it is important to meet people from all around Europe and to talk about the different topics we are really interested in. To see how we can collectively find European strategies to improve lifelong learning.
