Experience science at TU/e and DIFFER on October 5th and learn all’about solar energy.

TU/e, together with NWO’s energy research institute DIFFER, is participating in the national event Weekend of Science. Come to the DIFFER building (De Zaale 20) at TU/e campus on October 5th between 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM and immerse yourself in the energy of the future.

On this day, DIFFER will focus on the sun. Attend lectures, conduct experiments, join programming workshops, and craft a delicious donut. With life-like robots, the institute connects AI and robotics to the future role they will play in research. Make sure to also take a look at the research facilities in their impressive labs.

Walking from the DIFFER building, TU/e students will be happy to give you a tour of the student teams’ workshop. Driving on solar power becomes a reality in the solar car of Solar Team Eindhoven. Check out the state-of-the-art sustainable car of TU/ecomotive and be amazed by the autonomous electric race cars of University Racing Eindhoven. Can’t get enough of our cool solar cars? After the tour, you can go directly to our solar car workshop. Which shape of car will race the fastest? Read the complete (free) program here.

Hotspot Eindhoven

Still curious? TU/e is part of Hotspot Eindhoven; a group of ten organizations in Eindhoven engaged in science and technology, opening their doors during the Science Weekend. Visit DIFFER, Eindhoven Library-MakersClub, DJoe, De Ontdekfabriek, Hackalot, MAD emergent art center, Next Nature Museum, SintLucas, Philips Museum, and TU/e.

Also in Amsterdam!

Together with the three other technical universities, you can also find us at the Marineterrein in Amsterdam on Saturday, October 5th, between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Student Team VIRTUe will give you an impression of the house of the future: spacious, sustainable, and climate-resistant. Team University Racing Eindhoven will showcase its electric, self-driving race car. And at the stand of student team Totem Game Dev, you can try out new video games. Check out the full program and location here.
