TU Delft-s Executive Board has appointed Prof. Cokky Hilhorst as Dean of the Faculty of Technology, Policy, and Management (TPM), effective 1 May 2025. She is currently a Professor of Information Systems and Director of the Faculty Expertise Centre for Accounting, Auditing & Control at Nyenrode Business University.
Cokky Hilhorst studied Artificial Intelligence at Utrecht University, specializing in theoretical computer science and logic. She earned a master-s degree in Information Management from the TIAS School for Business and Society and obtained a PhD from Tilburg University’s Faculty of Economics and Management, focusing on the risks and flexibility of IT investments. She worked for many years as Director of Technology at PricewaterhouseCoopers and has been with Nyenrode Business University since 2018. Additionally, she is a member of the supervisory boards of ProRail and Grant Thornton and previously served on the supervisory board of Zorggroep ZorgSaam.
Her Information Systems research focuses on digitalization from a control perspective. In both her teaching and research, she explores topics such as IT investment decision-making, risk management, and the role of data and algorithms. She integrates insights from economics, computer science, and information management with practical experience in organizational digitalization and software systems. Her work has been published in Decision Support Systems, the European Journal of Information Systems, and Government Information Quarterly.
Professor Hilhorst succeeds Professor Sabine Roeser, who has served as acting dean since 1 December 2024.
