The Executive Board is pleased that Patrick Groenen is willing to serve another term as dean and looks forward to continuing their pleasant and constructive collaboration.

Prof. Groenen has been a professor of statistics at Erasmus School of Economics since 2002. He was Director of the Econometric Institute from 2014 to 2020 and Director of Doctoral Education at the Erasmus Research Institute of Management (ERIM) from 2009 to 2014. Groenen’s work focuses on data science techniques and their numerical algorithms. He has co-authored several books on multidimensional scaling and published articles in leading international scientific journals.
